About Nightingale International School

Introduction

Nightingale International Secondary School has no longer remained an unknown institute amidst the populace at large. Ever since her foundation was laid over two and a half decade ago, a great deal of endeavours have been made for making her stand out with unique academic environment and proven quality in education. Despite passing through various bleak moments, Nightingale International Secondary School has leapt to her feet. Remarkable achievements have been made by this institution in a relatively short span of time.

As far as the academic sector is concerned, this school has been successful in making all the students pass with Distinction and First Division. In the S.L.C.–2061 B.S., students from this school secured the position of 2nd and 3rd Board Toppers among girls and 6th and 7th position among all. For this achievement in the academic field, Nightingale was adorned with S.L.C. EXCELLENCE AWARD by Everest Foundation Nepal. A student from this school succeeded in achieving the position of 1st Board Topper in the subsequent year -2062 B. S. In 2068 B.S. Nightingale was honoured with the Education Award-2068 by Aajako Awaj Media.In the subsequent year, Nightingale was awarded the Excellence Award-2069 for outstanding results in SLC.

Surrounded by pleasant and peaceful atmosphere, enriched by panoramic view of beautiful Bagmati river bank, this school offers her scholars incomparable academic infrastructure, well-stocked library, well-equipped science labs, ultra modern computer lab, and spacious play ground which are readily accessible to all her students.

Inspired by the motto “LABORE ET HONORE”, all the school family members encourage the students and facilitate them for putting their utmost efforts on study. To impart high quality education catering to global needs at reasonable cost is the foremost intention of this institution.

Similarly the school has achieved remarkable success in other activities like debate, speech, drawing and many other competitions. This school has already achieved outstanding achievement in various dance competitions. We have bagged Aishwarya Shield in dance three times and numerous National and International awards. We have been able to garner an unprecedented success at the National Level Spelling Contest conducted by Godavari Alumni Association by winning Gold Medal three times and Silver Medal two times in a row. We participated in the nation-wide spelling contest, and made our presence felt by securing the 1st and 2nd position in the finals. In the field of science, which is an important subject of modern education, Nightingale School has made its mark by attaining second position at the National Level Science Exhibition. With the devotion of committed teachers and exceptionally talented students, we have always believed that nothing is impossible. Our happiness knew no bounds when our school stood first leaving behind 7000 contestants from various other countries at the International Art and Craft Competition organised by Pidilite Industries Limited, India. A competitive cultural program was organised by Lalitpur District Education Office in which Nightingale School secured the first position in Folk Dance, Folk Song and Classical Dance at District Level, first position at Regional Level and third position at National Level. These achievements have proved the calibre of Nightingale in the field of extra-curricular activities.
